Wedding Day//Emily+David

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect! Today's gorgeous fall day set the perfect scene for Emily and David's wedding! From the lovely weather to the personal touches and gorgeous decor... you couldn't have had a sweeter turnout. Emily and David knew they wanted their day as cool and as calm as they are, and they did just that!

Minnesota fall has peaked and we were surrounded by the warmth of the colors everywhere as Emily and David tied the knot at Minnetonka Orchards. The timeline got away from the our ladies of the day so, we shifted to have our couple see each other first at the ceremony. David's whole body seemed to have filled with joy as his bride walked her way down the aisle. Emily was stunning in her Essence of Australia gown from Luxe Bridal so who could blame him! Officiant Jill Englund led the ceremony wonderfully. After a few tears from our bride (and bridesmaids and parents of the couple and guests and me...) our couple held a beautiful hand tying ceremony to represent the literal tying of the knot. Smiling ear to ear, rings were placed and the deal was sealed with a kiss!

With a gorgeous wedding party in tow, we utilized the orchards as much as we could! Pops of color everywhere, it was hard to know when to stop. The ladies accented our surroundings in a deep red dress by Wtoo by Watters perfectly paired with gray from both the groomsman and groomswoman. And for anyone who knows Emily and David, it was no surprise that the entire wedding party wore Converse sneakers!

Guests were enjoying themselves as we made our way back to the big tent for yard games, s'mores, dinner and dancing. This wedding had it all! I was pretty giddy when Emily and David told me there would be farm tables for the reception! I was even more giddy once I saw the seeded eucalyptus and stunning arrangements draping out of the glass lanterns. Sadie's Couture Floral and Event Styling had all of the right touches to go on these gorgeous tables from Ultimate Events. A rustic and romantic wedding dream come true!

After enjoying a warm and flavorful meal from Chuckwagon Charlie's, it was time to dive-in at the dessert table. Although guests snuck a few treats in earlier (tisk, tisk), Emily and David sliced into their Buttercream Cakes and Desserts cake and enjoyed eating it together with their adorable engraved cutlery. DJ services from DJ Paul Young led the couple onto the dance floor to get the party started. Emily and David serenaded each other as they floated along the dance floor. It was so lovely to have guests come together and actually enjoy the couple's first dance. The sweetest father-daughter dance followed with tears falling from not only the dancing pair but at least half of the guests. David and his mother had a lively dance for their spotlight together while also stealing a few cherished moments as mother and son.

The rest of the evening was just as lovely as the day. Everyone enjoyed the fire pit and s'mores, the music and the celebration of this fun and loving couple! Emily and David, enjoy this recap of your wedding day! It was an honor to be there with you today.
