Wedding Day//Katie+Ricky

The biggest smiles you ever did see... everywhere! Katie and Ricky tied the knot today and it couldn't have been better! The newlyweds and all those they surround themselves with were some of the kindest people. It was all smiles, all day long from just about everyone in pure joy for the happy pair. Even weather (I know, I know. I talk about weather a lot...) was gracious to us when it was time for photos! So many wonderful moments happened today! I feel like I could write and write and write...

I was so pleased when I learned that I'd be returning to Brackett's Crossing Country Club for today's wedding! Such a great venue with a lovely and helpful staff; gorgeous landscaping; and tonight's Italian buffet made it into my belly real quick... It was perfect! Before slipping into her Stella York gown from Raffine Bridal, Katie read a little love letter from her to groom-to-be. Nearly instant tears. Having just been finished up in the makeup chair, Katie was working hard on holding back those sobs. Ear to ear smiles and shakey hands, Katie gasped "that guy" as she placed her love letter back in the envelope. So sweet.

With just the tiniest mist, Katie and Ricky saw each other for their first look under a gnarly and beautiful tree on the club's grounds. Both Ricky and Katie were jittery with excitement and both were exuding with love as they took in each other's polished wedding day looks. Ricky was sleek in his suit from Savvi Formalwear. The labeled "Groom" tie bar was the perfect personal touch. Katie was simply breathtaking and did just that to her groom when he saw her for the first time. The wedding party joined our couple for photos looking just as polished! The maids wore floor length gowns from Bella Bridal Boutique and the pops of purple in their bouquets from Judy's Floral Design were the perfect accents to the gentlemen's attire.

Making it to the church just in time before the heavy rainfall, we were getting closer to making these two husband and wife! All Saint's Catholic Church was the perfect getaway from the pouring rain. Katie and Ricky had an awesome (AWESOME) team of helpers. There were the friend-of-the-family-Day-Of-Coordinators, who ran the show start to finish truly making everything so smooth and enjoyable for our couple. The bride's mother-daughter-Personal-Attendant team who, quite honestly, I want to run my life, not only made the Katie's day perfect but were also so welcoming and all smiles all day.

After sealing the deal with a kiss, there was a literal uproar of applause and cheer from the new husband and wife's guests! Pure elation seemed to carry these two down the aisle once it was official. After a quick spin in the party bus from Total Luxury Limo, we were literally chasing the sunset as the sky had opened up and was vibrant with color! After the mostly gray day, it was welcome!

I somehow, in this long winded blog, haven't mentioned that Katie and Ricky are huge Minnesota Vikings fans. Huge. They literally entered their reception with viking horns blowing over the speakers and the Vikings' fight song. After truly wonderful toasts from the best man and maid of honor, Ricky's brother was to present a gift to the pair that apparently was a very well thought out idea from his siblings.. so well thought out actually that Ricky had already thought of it as a gift for Katie! Ricky showed Katie at the game last Sunday, a brick that he had bought for them to be a part of the new stadium in Minneapolis. Being the fan she is, it was a well received! Selfie's with their new memorabilia were sent to family which ultimately fumbled (get it?) the family's plan. But in the end, it couldn't have been a better story!

Much like this blog entry, it was hard to end the evening! Guests were enjoyable and filling the dance floor. The DJ was honestly amazing! A friend of the groom, Vaughn from Str8Reppin, went outside his normal set and did a wedding as a favor for the couple! When Prince plays within the few three songs, it's going to be a good night. We ended our night finally with stuffing our mouths, and camera bags with seriously delectable cupcakes from Cakewalk Custom Cakes and Dessert Bar. I literally giggled when I took a bite of the strawberry topped cupcake before sitting down to blog. So good!

Katie and Ricky, if you made it this far in the blog, CONGRATS on your perfect weddings day and beginning your new life together! Enjoy this recap of your wedding day!
