Wedding Day//Kate+James

A Friday evening end-of-summer downtown St. Paul wedding... Doesn't get much better than that. Kate and James did it! They are husband and wife. These two wonderful people are the definition of opposites attract! James carries a steady and calm disposition; and Kate is full of expression and motion and emotion! A true balance! Each do however, make the same googley eyes at each other! =) As I tried to brainstorm how to start this blog and thinking about this couple, I couldn't help but smile thinking about how fun and loving and open they each are.

Adding their final touches for the big day, this happy couple and their wedding party gathered at the unique Embassy Suites in St. Paul. We just had to utilize the open atrium and glass elevators for their first look! Kate dazzled in her lace and tulle gown by Bonny Bridal as she met her groom, dapper in gray, for the first time before becoming husband and wife. Wedding party and family in tow, we dashed over to the ever classic and historic Cathedral of St. Paul for the ceremony. This was a first for me! Even though I grew up in St. Paul, I never actually had been inside of the cathedral, let alone photograph inside! It was just as gorgeous as I imagined!

Smiles and laughter were easy with this group! All of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen were energetic and lighthearted all day! The ladies popped in vibrant floor length gowns from David's Bridal which was perfectly accented with colorful bouquets from Peggy Kennedy Flowers. Kate and James definitely surround themselves with pretty awesome people!

After making it official with a kiss at the altar, it was time to party! Arriving back at the Embassy Suites, guests were enjoying beverages and apps. Rows and rows of cupcakes from Buttercream taunted guests as they scooped their dinner provided by the in-house caterer. Jeremy from Red 6 Productions kept the music lively and the evening moving. Truly dancing the night away, the couple, their wedding party and guests totally rocked the dance floor until the end!
